In late 2023, in a small tech office in Saigon, Vietnam, lunchtime was always chaotic.

Nobody wanted to pay for the whole team’s lunch.

Rock-paper-scissors caused drama. Random name pickers were boring. Everyone complained. So one weekend, a slightly annoyed developer (me) built something ridiculous:

“Let’s race some ducks.
The fastest duck’s owner pays.”

Within seconds, the whole office was screaming, laughing, and emotionally invested in ducks. That day we didn’t just pick who paid for lunch. We accidentally invented pure joy in browser form.
